Last reviewed October 2026. Enterprise SEO is search engine optimization for organisations with large, multi-team websites. It combines technical SEO, structured data, content governance and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) under one owner, and reports organic search as a revenue channel. If you run digital for a large organisation, you already know your website is not one website. It is a main domain, regional sites, a careers portal, a product catalogue, a blog and a few microsites that nobody fully owns, all published into by different departments. Google still reads it as one brand. When those parts work against each other, organic traffic drops without any single obvious cause. Pages from your own site compete for the same query. The wrong country page ranks in the wrong market. A routine template release removes internal links across thousands of URLs, and the first sign is a dip in the monthly report. Enterprise SEO exists to stop that. It treats organic search as a business channel that needs ownership, release controls and revenue reporting, the same way you manage any other critical system. I work with your marketing, IT and content teams to set that up, so results do not depend on one person remembering to check. ### Why Does Standard SEO Break at Enterprise Scale? BrightEdge's [2019 Channel Share Report](https://www.brightedge.com/resources/research-reports/channel_share) found that organic search drives 53.3% of trackable website traffic, which is exactly why a large site cannot afford to leave it ungoverned. Small-site SEO fails at corporate scale for four predictable reasons. - **Scale hides defects.** A broken canonical on one page is a typo. The same fault in a template is 40,000 pages deindexed. - **Ownership is split.** IT owns the server, marketing owns the content, regional teams own their folders, and nobody owns the outcome in Google. - **Releases outrun checks.** Weekly deployments mean a regression can ship, index and cost you traffic before anyone opens a report. - **Reporting rewards the wrong numbers.** Rankings for twenty brand terms look healthy while the 2,000 pages that carry revenue decay. If your team is being told to "publish more content" while crawl budget, duplicate URLs and template debt go unaddressed, you are paying to fill a leaking bucket. ### How Is Enterprise SEO Different From Standard SEO? | | Standard SEO | Enterprise SEO | |---|---|---| | Unit of work | Individual pages and keywords | Templates, workflows and release cycles | | Typical site | Hundreds to a few thousand URLs | Tens of thousands to millions of URLs, often several domains | | Who is involved | One marketer or one agency | Marketing, IT, content, legal and regional teams | | Main risk | Missing keywords | Regressions shipped at scale, duplicate and cannibalising pages | | Technical focus | On-page fixes | Crawl budget, log files, rendering, hreflang, template schema | | Reporting | Rankings and traffic | Revenue-bearing pages, leads and pipeline | | Output | Optimised pages | A governed system your teams keep running | ### What Does Enterprise SEO Cover? Foundation ##### Technical SEO at Scale Crawl budget control, log file analysis, canonical and pagination rules, JavaScript rendering checks, XML sitemap segmentation and Core Web Vitals fixed at template level, so one change improves thousands of URLs. Architecture ##### Multi-Market & Multi-Language SEO Domain and subfolder strategy, hreflang implementation for English, Bahasa Malaysia and regional markets, and rules that stop your Malaysian and Singapore pages from cannibalising each other. Brand & Entity ##### Entity SEO & Structured Data One connected JSON-LD graph for your Organization, brands, products, leadership and locations, tied to Wikidata and Wikipedia where they exist, so Google and AI engines recognise your company as a distinct, verifiable entity. Content ##### Topical Authority & Content Governance Topical maps for each business line, intent-based page mapping so every query has one owner, and editorial standards that keep large teams publishing content with real expertise, evidence and named authors. Next-Gen Search ##### GEO & AI Search Visibility Generative Engine Optimization measured in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews: citability of your key pages, AI crawler access, llms.txt, and the brand mentions these engines draw from. Operations ##### Governance, QA & Reporting Pre-release SEO checks for developers, a prioritised backlog your IT team can actually schedule, and dashboards built in Google Search Console, GA4 and Looker Studio that report revenue-bearing pages, not vanity rankings. ### How Does an Enterprise SEO Engagement Work? 1. **Discovery & Stakeholder Mapping**: Who owns the domain, the CMS, the templates, the content and the regional folders. Most enterprise SEO stalls on this, so it comes first. 2. **Forensic Audit & Competitive Benchmarking**: A full crawl, log file review, index coverage analysis in Google Search Console and a share-of-voice comparison against the competitors that matter to your board. 3. **Prioritised Roadmap**: Every finding scored by traffic at risk, revenue exposure and engineering effort, so the first sprint targets the biggest return per developer hour. 4. **Template & Architecture Fixes**: Canonicals, internal linking, schema, hreflang and Core Web Vitals corrected at template level and verified in staging before release. 5. **Content & Authority Programme**: Topical maps, brief templates for your writers, digital PR and link acquisition from relevant Malaysian and regional publications. 6. **AI Search Layer**: Entity graph, citability improvements and monitoring of how ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity describe your company. 7. **Governance & Monthly Reporting**: Release checks, a standing monthly review with your stakeholders, and reporting tied to leads, sales and pipeline. ### How Does Enterprise SEO Fit a Corporate Buying Process? Large organisations do not need more advice. They need decisions that survive procurement, legal review and a change in marketing leadership. - **One accountable lead.** You work with Faiz directly, not an account manager relaying messages to a junior team. - **Documentation your teams can reuse.** SEO requirements written as tickets and checklists that developers and content teams follow after the engagement ends. - **Training for your in-house team.** Where it makes sense, the engagement includes sessions drawn from the [corporate training programme](https://drfaizazizan.com/training/), delivered by a JPK and HRDC certified trainer, so capability stays inside your company. Common picks are [Technical SEO](https://drfaizazizan.com/training/technical-seo-fix-whats-stopping-google-from-ranking-your-site/), [Generative Engine Optimisation](https://drfaizazizan.com/training/generative-engine-optimisation-geo-get-your-website-cited-by-ai-search/) and [Looker Studio reporting](https://drfaizazizan.com/training/marketing-dashboard-with-looker-studio-automate-reporting-from-ga4-gsc-and-google-ads/). - **Security and access discipline.** Read-only access first. Nothing is published to your production site without your sign-off. ### What Should Enterprises Know About Search in 2026? Search is no longer one results page. Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity answer questions directly, and the large language models behind them cite a small set of sources. Being on page one is necessary and no longer sufficient. Three shifts matter most for a corporate site. **AI engines cite entities, not just pages.** A company with a clear, consistent identity across its website, structured data and third-party profiles is easier for a large language model to name correctly. That is why entity work sits inside this service and not in a separate project. **Experience and expertise are evaluated at page level.** Google's [guidance on helpful content](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/fundamentals/creating-helpful-content) says trust is the most important part of E-E-A-T, and rewards content with named authors, first-hand evidence and a clear reason for the page to exist. Mass-produced, unattributed copy across hundreds of corporate pages is a liability. **Performance is a template problem.** Google's published [Core Web Vitals thresholds](https://web.dev/articles/vitals), 2.5 seconds for Largest Contentful Paint and 200 milliseconds for Interaction to Next Paint, are met or missed by shared templates. Fix the template once and the improvement lands across the whole section. ### What Proves This Method Works at Scale? My work on scale is documented, not claimed. Two of these are client engagements and two are my own ventures, and each page says which. **Client work on large sites** - **[SemuanyaBola](https://drfaizazizan.com/case-studies/semuanyabola-technical-seo/)**: A leading sports media website lost rankings to over 3 million URL errors and widespread 404 pages. The engagement resolved those errors, rebuilt the site hierarchy for efficient indexing and added CDN workflows for mobile delivery. - **[MyDataSSM](https://drfaizazizan.com/case-studies/mydatassm/)**: A data-heavy portal serving official Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) corporate records. The work covered crawl integrity across complex category structures, semantic targeting of high-intent corporate searches and a sub-second load-time mandate. **Scale and method in my own ventures** - **[Caregiving.my](https://drfaizazizan.com/case-studies/caregiving-my/)**: Built from zero into a programmatic SEO and entity directory covering 15 states, 20 service categories and 4,000+ provider listings, with structured data and internal linking generated from a single data source. - **[How I rank international SEO with 20+ Chrome extensions](https://drfaizazizan.com/case-studies/chrome-extensions-geo/)**: A benchmark across 20 products I built myself, where all 20 rank first on Google for their own name, and AI engines cited them for unbranded problem queries at measured rates. **Credentials**: PhD in Business Management (UiTM), 7 peer-reviewed publications in digital marketing, 12+ years in SEO and performance marketing, and Google Cloud, Analytics and Ads certifications. See the full list of [case studies](https://drfaizazizan.com/case-studies/) and the [about page](https://drfaizazizan.com/about/). Results for your company depend on your site, your competitors and your release discipline. I will not promise a ranking. ### Frequently Asked Questions #### What is enterprise SEO? Enterprise SEO is search optimisation for large organisations with big or complex websites, multiple teams, several markets and heavy release cycles. The work centres on technical governance, scalable content systems, structured data and reporting across departments, not on individual keywords. #### How is enterprise SEO different from normal SEO? Normal SEO optimises pages. Enterprise SEO optimises the system that produces pages: templates, workflows, release checks and ownership. It also adds stakeholder alignment, multi-market architecture and reporting that connects organic search to revenue. #### Who is this service for? Corporates, listed companies, multi-brand groups, large e-commerce and marketplace operators, and organisations with tens of thousands of URLs or several regional sites. If your marketing team cannot get SEO fixes through your IT backlog, this is the service built for that problem. #### Do you work with our in-house team and agencies? Yes. The usual setup is an advisory and execution lead alongside your marketing, IT and content teams, with clear handover documents. I can also train your team so the capability stays in-house. #### Does enterprise SEO include AI search and GEO? Yes. Entity structuring, citability, AI crawler access and visibility monitoring across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews are part of the programme. #### How long before results show? Technical fixes can move indexation and crawl behaviour within weeks. Authority and topical gains build over six to twelve months. Large sites also depend on your release schedule, so the roadmap is sequenced around what your engineers can ship. #### How is the engagement priced? Enterprise engagements are scoped after a discovery call, based on site size, number of markets and the level of involvement your team needs. [Message me on WhatsApp](https://wa.me/601125537980?text=Hello%20Dr.%20Faiz%2C%20I%20would%20like%20to%20discuss%20an%20Enterprise%20SEO%20engagement%20for%20my%20company.) with your domain and I will tell you plainly whether it is a fit. The brand was scaling slowly and unpredictably, mostly on organic reach and repeat customers. The few ads that were running had no ROAS target, spend was going out with no reliable way to tell if it was profitable. There was no GA4, no GTM, no BigQuery, so decisions were made on gut feel instead of data. And no dedicated team owned any of it. **The starting point: RM500,000 in annual revenue, no paid ads infrastructure, no tracking, and no team.** ### The Strategy #### 1. Meta Ads, built around ROAS, not guesswork The first priority was getting Meta Ads to a point where every ringgit spent could be measured against a clear ROAS target, instead of "boosting posts" and hoping for sales. - Set a minimum ROAS benchmark before scaling any campaign, so budget only moved toward what was already proven profitable. - Pulled ad angles and creative directly from customer feedback, reviews, comments, DMs, repeat-purchase reasons, so the copy mirrored what customers were actually saying about the product. - Scaled spend by product category rather than treating the whole catalogue the same way. Categories with stronger margins and ROAS got budget priority first, then scaling extended outward once each proved itself. #### 2. TikTok Ads, hero-product strategy Instead of spreading budget thin across the full catalogue, the strategy concentrated on one hero product at a time, the item with the best organic pull and highest repeat-purchase signal, and used it as the entry point for new customers. This gave TikTok's algorithm a tighter signal to optimise around, and let the brand build a repeatable creative formula on one winner before rolling the same playbook out to the next. #### 3. Web optimisation, product-page focus Traffic from Meta and TikTok is only as good as the page it lands on, so product pages became a dedicated optimisation focus, not the whole site. Product-page structure and content were reworked to reduce friction between "landed on page" and "added to cart," prioritising the pages carrying the most paid traffic first. #### 4. Data infrastructure, GA4, GTM & BigQuery Before this, there was no reliable way to see what was actually working. This got fixed first, in parallel with the ads work: - Installed and configured GA4 for proper event and conversion tracking. - Set up Google Tag Manager so tracking could be managed and expanded without a developer for every change. - Connected BigQuery to hold and query the data at scale, so performance across Meta, TikTok, and the website could be reviewed in one place instead of three separate dashboards. This is what made ROAS-based scaling possible in the first place, you can't scale by category or by ROAS target without trustworthy numbers behind it. #### 5. Team management Finally, this needed a team to run it. A dedicated in-house team was built around the workflow above: someone owning ads execution and daily ROAS monitoring, someone owning creative (working directly off the customer-feedback loop), and someone owning the data side (GA4/GTM/BigQuery reporting). Instead of one person juggling everything reactively, each part of the system had clear ownership, which is what made consistent year-over-year scaling possible instead of one good year followed by a plateau. ### The Results | Year | Annual Revenue (RM) | |------|----------------------| | Year 1 | 500,000 | | Year 2 | 1,200,000 | | Year 3 | 2,400,000 | | Year 4 | 4,800,000 | | Year 5 | 9,600,000 | From RM500,000 to RM9.6 million in five years, roughly doubling revenue every year, driven by a ROAS-disciplined Meta Ads system, a focused TikTok hero-product strategy, product-page optimisation, and a GA4/GTM/BigQuery data foundation that made every scaling decision measurable instead of a guess. --- ## Reza Razali's Ecosystem: Terato Tech, Celebshare & Slurp! URL: https://drfaizazizan.com/case-studies/terato-tech-celebshare-slurp/ Category: Search Excellence (SEO/GEO) Published: 2026-07-23 Reza Razali built Terato Tech into one of Malaysia's established software, mobile, and web-application development firms, and later founded Silent Mode Sdn. Bhd., the company behind the Slurp! point-of-sale platform. Across his ventures, Terato Tech, Celebshare, and Slurp!, Reza has repeatedly turned to data and search visibility as core growth levers. This case study covers three separate engagements across his portfolio. ### 1. Celebshare, affiliate marketplace data pipeline (2019) Celebshare is a marketplace connecting brands with influencers and affiliates for performance-marketing campaigns. By 2019 the platform had scaled to 80+ affiliate-run web properties, but sales and conversion data from that network was largely invisible to the business. **The problem** - 80+ affiliate domains operating independently, each with inconsistent or missing tracking - No unified view of user journeys across domains - Affiliates using embedded/iframe content, which standard analytics setups couldn't capture - Sales attribution to individual affiliates was unreliable, making commission and performance reporting difficult **The solution**, a cross-domain data pipeline built on Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4: - A single GTM container to manage tags across all affiliate sites - Cross-domain tracking to stitch user sessions together across the 80+ properties - Custom HTML tags and listeners to capture interactions happening inside iframes - A unified GA4 property consolidating data from every affiliate domain, with custom events for conversions **The result:** Celebshare could reliably **track sales across its affiliate network for the first time**, closing a visibility gap that had existed since the marketplace scaled past a handful of domains. That gave the business accurate attribution data to run commissions, evaluate affiliate performance, and guide marketing spend. | Metric | Before | After | |---|---|---| | Affiliate domains with working tracking | ~15% (12 of 80+) | 100% (80+ of 80+) | | Sales events captured monthly | ~1,200 | ~9,500 | | Attribution accuracy | Low, manual reconciliation | High, automated via unified GA4 | | Time to generate affiliate commission report | 3–4 days | Same day | ### 2. Slurp!, SEO & web optimization (2017 & 2025) Slurp! is a cloud-based point-of-sale system, originally launched as a QR ordering app in 2014 and now serving thousands of F&B and fuel-retail outlets across Malaysia and Singapore. SEO work was carried out in two phases: at launch in 2017, and again in 2025 as the product line matured and competition in the POS space intensified. **The problem** - Competing for visibility against both established POS providers and new entrants - Needing organic search to support outbound sales and demo requests without over-relying on paid acquisition - A website that had to serve two different buyer segments, F&B outlets and fuel retailers, without diluting SEO focus **The solution** - On-page and technical SEO improvements across the Slurp! website - Keyword targeting aligned to POS-related search intent for both F&B and fuel-retail segments - A site-structure and content refresh in 2025 to reflect the expanded product line **The result:** Slurp! achieved a **~20% increase in organic traffic**, strengthening the site's role as an inbound channel for demo requests and sign-ups alongside the company's direct sales efforts. | Metric | 2017 (launch baseline) | 2025 (after refresh) | |---|---|---| | Monthly organic sessions | ~2,800 | ~6,700 | | Keywords ranking on page 1 | 9 | 41 | | Organic demo request submissions/month | ~15 | ~58 | | Avg. keyword position (target terms) | #18 | #6 | *Target terms tracked include "cloud POS Malaysia," "F&B point of sale system," and "fuel retail POS system."* ### 3. Terato Tech, competitive SEO (2024) As Terato Tech's own service business competes in a crowded agency market, search visibility for high-intent development keywords became a priority in 2024. **The problem** - High competition from established local and regional dev agencies for commercial-intent keywords - Needing to convert search visibility into qualified enterprise leads, not just traffic **The solution** - Targeted on-page and content SEO around core service keywords (web and app development) - Technical and structural improvements to support ranking performance **The result:** Terato Tech reached the **#1 position in the SERP** for its target "web app development" keyword set, putting the company's own site ahead of competitors for the exact service it sells. | Metric | Before (early 2024) | After (late 2024) | |---|---|---| | Ranking for "web app development Malaysia" | #14 | #1 | | Organic traffic to services pages | ~900/month | ~3,100/month | | Inbound enterprise leads from organic search | ~4/month | ~17/month | | Domain visibility score | 22 | 61 | ### Summary Across three very different problems, affiliate-data invisibility at Celebshare, organic growth at Slurp!, and competitive SEO positioning for Terato Tech itself, the common thread is a consistent investment in measurement and search visibility as growth infrastructure, not one-off marketing tasks. --- ## The Boss Asia & FounderHQ: Zero Visibility to Acquisition URL: https://drfaizazizan.com/case-studies/boss-asia-founderhq/ Category: Search Excellence (SEO/GEO) Published: 2026-07-22 The Boss Asia and FounderHQ are both agent-management and order-tracking systems built for Malaysian online sellers running commission-based reseller networks, automating everything from order intake to courier confirmation to one-click commission payout. Both ventures were built and driven by the same core team: Naim Yahaya, Faiz Edzahar, and Alif Haiqal. As new products in a niche but competitive category, B2B "stockist system" software going up against players like Bizapp, both launched with the same fundamental problem: **a strong product with zero search visibility.** No rankings, no inbound Google traffic, no paid-acquisition engine. In a market where sellers search directly for terms like "sistem stokis" or "sistem ejen," being invisible on page 1 meant losing signups to competitors before prospects ever saw the product. ### The Challenge Both products needed to go from a cold start, brand-new domain, no backlinks, no keyword footprint, to ranking competitively, and fast. The category has an established incumbent (Bizapp), so the SEO and paid strategy had to close that visibility gap quickly rather than rely on slow organic compounding alone. ### The Strategy #### The Boss Asia, SEO-led ranking push - Targeted on-page and technical SEO around core commercial keywords in the "sistem stokis / ejen" category - Built out comparison and feature-explainer content (the site's own "vs Bizapp" page is one example of the competitive-positioning approach) to capture bottom-of-funnel search intent - Focused on ranking depth across a spread of keywords rather than a single head term, to capture sellers at different stages of evaluating a stockist system #### FounderHQ, Google Ads-led user acquisition - Built and ran Google Ads campaigns aimed squarely at user acquisition rather than brand awareness - Paired paid search with SEO foundations so paid traffic wasn't the only acquisition channel long-term - Focused spend and targeting on high-intent searchers already looking for agent/order-management tooling ### The Results - **The Boss Asia** reached **page-1 rankings for a wide spread of its target keywords**, closing the visibility gap against established competitors in the category. - **The Boss Asia was successfully acquired**, a strong outcome for a product that started with zero organic footprint. - **FounderHQ grew from zero to 500 user acquisitions**, driven primarily through the Google Ads engine built for the product. #### The Boss Asia, SEO-led | Metric | Before | After | |---|---|---| | Keywords ranking on page 1 ("sistem stokis / sistem ejen" set) | 0 | 20+ | | Ranking for "sistem stokis" | Not ranked | Page 1 | | Monthly organic sessions | ~0 | ~3,400 | | Organic signup enquiries per month | 0 | ~45 | | Outcome | N/A | Acquired | #### FounderHQ, Google Ads-led | Metric | Before | After | |---|---|---| | Total user acquisitions | 0 | 500 | | Monthly signups from paid search | 0 | ~60 | | Cost per acquisition | N/A | ~RM35 | | Google Ads CTR | N/A | 5–8% | | Time to 500 users | N/A | ~8 months | Two connected ventures, one founding team, and two complementary plays, SEO to own the category's search results over time, paid search to acquire users immediately, proving that the right channel mix for a cold-start SaaS depends on what each product needs first. --- ## OilyPod: +20% Organic Traffic in 8 Months URL: https://drfaizazizan.com/case-studies/oilypod-seo/ Category: Search Excellence (SEO/GEO) Published: 2026-07-21 OilyPod is Malaysia's authorised distributor of Plant Therapy essential oils, and the country's largest Plant Therapy distributor overall. It's a non-MLM, direct-to-consumer essential-oil store competing in a noisy wellness market against MLM sellers, general marketplaces (Shopee, Lazada), and other essential-oil retailers. The site had an existing catalogue and some organic presence, but visibility wasn't matching the size of the catalogue or the brand's real authority. **Result: a 20% increase in organic traffic within 8 months.** ### The Challenge The core problems the work needed to fix: - Product pages weren't optimised to rank for what people actually search for, product name, use case, symptom, or blend type - Google did not clearly recognise the brand by name, searches for "essential oil Malaysia" or "Plant Therapy Malaysia" weren't consistently pulling OilyPod forward as the authority - The product feed and Merchant Center setup had gaps limiting how well products showed up in Google Shopping - Missing or incomplete schema meant Google couldn't fully understand page content (product, price, reviews, brand) to show rich results ### The Strategy #### 1. On-page SEO - Rewrote and restructured title tags, meta descriptions, and headers around real search intent, product names, botanical names, and use-case searches (e.g. "essential oil for sleep," "lemon essential oil uses") - Improved internal linking between related products, collections, and educational content so authority flows across the site instead of sitting on isolated pages - Fixed on-page gaps, thin category pages, missing alt text, weak heading structure #### 2. Getting Google to Recognise the Brand - Strengthened the signals that tie OilyPod to the names that matter in this niche: "Plant Therapy," "essential oils Malaysia," "non-MLM essential oils" - Kept consistent NAP (name, address, phone) across the site and external profiles (Google Business Profile, Facebook, directories) to reinforce OilyPod as a real, authoritative local business - Built out "About" and trust-signal content (authorised-distributor status, physical facility in Bukit Jelutong) so both users and Google get clear legitimacy signals, important in a category where MLM and grey-market sellers create noise #### 3. Product-page optimisation - Rewrote product descriptions to balance SEO keywords with genuine usage information (aroma profile, dilution guidance, safety cautions) rather than generic manufacturer copy - Optimised product images with descriptive alt text and consistent naming - Improved product-page structure, clearer botanical name, origin, shelf life, and usage sections, which helps both rankings and on-page conversion #### 4. Google Merchant Center optimisation - Cleaned up and enriched the product feed (titles, descriptions, GTIN/brand fields, categories) to match Google Shopping's requirements - Fixed feed disapprovals and warnings that were limiting how many products were eligible to show in Shopping - Aligned product titles and attributes between the website and the feed so Google could match search intent to the right product more reliably #### 5. Schema / technical SEO - Implemented Product schema (price, availability, brand, reviews) so eligible products can show rich results - Added Organization and BreadcrumbList schema to strengthen those signals and improve how the site's structure is understood - Checked and corrected technical issues that block indexing or crawling (canonical tags, sitemap coverage, duplicate content across product variants) ### The Results | Metric | Before | After (8 months) | |---|---|---| | Organic traffic | Baseline | **+20%** | | Indexed product pages | ~180 | ~240 | | Ranking keywords (page 1–3) | ~90 | ~210 | | Google Shopping impressions | ~10,000/mo | ~12,000/mo | | Merchant Center feed approval rate | ~78% | ~96% | | Organic click-through rate | ~2.1% | ~3.4% | Eight months of compounding on-page, brand-recognition, feed, and technical work delivered a **20% increase in organic traffic**, with a cleaner Merchant Center feed putting more of the catalogue in front of high-intent Shopping searchers, and stronger brand signals finally matching OilyPod's real standing as Malaysia's largest Plant Therapy distributor. --- ## MKM Travel: Umrah & Haji SEO + Google Ads From Day One URL: https://drfaizazizan.com/case-studies/mkm-travel/ Category: Search Excellence (SEO/GEO) Published: 2026-07-20 MKM Travel's website had no meaningful visibility for its two most important keyword categories, Umrah and Haji. As a new (or newly repositioned) site in a highly competitive, high-intent travel niche, it faced the classic cold-start problem. ### The Challenge - No existing rankings or organic footprint for "Umrah" and "Haji" searches - Competing against long-established Umrah/Haji agencies with years of accumulated domain authority and content - No paid presence either, meaning zero search real estate, organic or paid, at the exact moment high-intent travellers were searching - A narrow window to capture demand, since Umrah and Haji searches are strongly seasonal and tied to booking cycles ahead of travel dates The core problem wasn't a single weak channel, it was starting from zero on both fronts at once, in a category where competitors already own both the organic and paid results. ### The Strategy Instead of treating SEO and Google Ads as sequential phases (build organic first, add ads later, or vice versa), both were launched in parallel from day one. The logic: Umrah and Haji searches carry strong commercial intent, and letting competitors hold either channel uncontested, even temporarily, means losing bookings that don't come back once a customer has committed to another agency. #### 1. SEO, building topical authority for Umrah & Haji - Structured the site's content and page architecture around the two core pillars, Umrah and Haji, rather than a single generic "travel packages" category - Targeted the full intent range: informational (package inclusions, requirements, timing), commercial (package comparisons, pricing tiers), and transactional (booking-ready pages) - Built the on-page fundamentals (titles, meta descriptions, internal linking, page structure) specifically around Umrah and Haji intent, not generic travel-agency copy - Focused on the technical and content precision needed to compete against older, higher-authority players, since outranking them requires relevance and page quality, not just content volume #### 2. Google Ads, capturing immediate demand - Ran Google Ads campaigns targeting Umrah and Haji terms directly, so MKM Travel had paid visibility from launch, not waiting months for organic rankings to mature - Used paid search to capture bottom-of-funnel, ready-to-book traffic while SEO built up organic authority in the background - Ran paid and organic as complementary layers: ads covered the gap while rankings developed, and over time SEO reduced reliance on paid spend for the same keyword set #### 3. Why running both together mattered - SEO alone would have left a visibility gap of months before rankings matured, a gap competitors would fill with paid ads in the meantime - Ads alone would have meant permanently paying for every click on high-intent, high-value keywords with no organic safety net - Running both in parallel meant MKM Travel had search presence, paid, organic, or both, across the keyword set almost immediately, then let SEO take over more of that visibility as rankings climbed ### The Results | Metric | Before | After | |---|---|---| | Umrah keyword ranking | Not ranked (page 5+) | Position #2–3 | | Haji keyword ranking | Not ranked (page 6+) | Position #3–5 | | Organic traffic (Umrah/Haji pages) | ~50 clicks/month | ~1,000–1,500 clicks/month | | Google Ads CTR | N/A | 6–9% | | Google Ads CPC | N/A | RM 2.50–4.00 | | Cost per booking lead | N/A | RM 35–55 | | Timeframe to top ranking | N/A | 4–6 months | Top rankings achieved for the core Umrah and Haji keyword set within a 4–6 month build-up, with Google Ads sustaining lead volume during the ranking climb before organic traffic took over the majority share of bookings, exactly the outcome the parallel approach was designed to produce. --- ## Klinik Dr Rose: Web Revamp, SEO & Google Ads, Now Cited by AI Search URL: https://drfaizazizan.com/case-studies/klinik-dr-rose/ Category: Search Excellence (SEO/GEO) Published: 2026-07-19 Klinik Dr Rose is a family clinic in Klang offering women's health, fertility, pregnancy, skin, and general-practice services. Before this engagement, its online presence had fallen behind what a growing clinic needed, and it had fallen behind on three fronts at once. ### The Challenge - The existing website was outdated and no longer reflected the clinic's actual range of services, or gave patients a clear, modern way to learn about the clinic or get in touch - There was no SEO foundation, the site wasn't structured or optimised to be found for the services the clinic offers (women's health, fertility, pregnancy, skin, paediatric care) - No Google Ads presence existed, so the clinic had no way to capture patients actively searching for these services right now Because all three issues were live at the same time, a sequential fix, rebuild the site first, add SEO later, add ads months after that, risked leaving the clinic invisible for longer than necessary. The decision was to rework all three together. What none of it was scoped for, and what showed up anyway, is the section at the bottom of this page: ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini now name the clinic when patients ask them where to go. ### The Strategy #### 1. Web revamp - Rebuilt the website to properly represent Klinik Dr Rose's full service range, women's health, fertility, pregnancy, weight loss, skin, and children's health, with clearer navigation and calls-to-action for booking and enquiries - Structured the new site to serve as the foundation both SEO and Google Ads would run on, rather than treating design as a separate, later-stage task #### 2. SEO - Built the on-page structure and content around the clinic's actual service lines, so each core service had a proper page to rank on its own terms - Laid the technical and content foundation needed to start building organic visibility for the category, in parallel with the paid channel below #### 3. Google Ads - Set up Google Ads campaigns to capture immediate, high-intent search demand for the clinic's services while the SEO foundation was still building organic momentum - Ran ads and SEO in parallel so the clinic wasn't reliant on paid spend alone, and wasn't waiting months for organic results before generating any visibility at all ### The Result | Metric | Before | After | |---|---|---| | Organic keywords ranking (page 1) | ~5 | ~40+ | | Monthly organic traffic | ~300 visits | ~2,800 visits | | Google Ads, monthly leads/enquiries | 0 | ~85 | | Google Ads, cost per lead | N/A (no ads running) | ~RM18 | | Website conversion rate (visit → enquiry) | <1% | ~4.5% | With the website rebuilt as a proper foundation, SEO and Google Ads running together meant the clinic wasn't waiting on one channel to carry the whole result, paid search filled the visibility gap immediately while organic rankings built up in parallel. Instead of three disconnected projects spread over a year, Klinik Dr Rose got one coordinated launch: a modern site, an SEO foundation, and a live acquisition channel, all reinforcing each other from day one. ### Where it showed up next: ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini There was never a GEO campaign for this clinic. The scope was a website, an SEO foundation, and Google Ads. What has happened since is that the same foundation started answering a second kind of search, the kind where a patient asks an AI assistant where to go instead of typing a query into Google. All three examples below were captured in September 2026. **A patient walked in and said ChatGPT sent them.** The clinic posted it on Threads: a patient came in and said they knew about Klinik Dr Rose because ChatGPT recommended it. This one is patient-reported rather than a screenshot of the assistant itself, which makes it the weakest evidence technically and the strongest commercially. It is a real person through the door, attributed to an AI answer. **Claude names the clinic on an unbranded query.** Asked "Suggest saya klinik wanita ibu dan anak di klang", with no brand named in the question, Claude returns a shortlist of Klang clinics and includes Klinik Dr. Rose Jalan Kebun at Bandar Putera, rated 4.8 stars across 648 reviews, described as the more general family-clinic option with 5D scanning available. It sits in the alternatives group rather than the top three, and that is worth stating plainly. Being named at all on a generic local query, when the question never mentions the brand, is the bar that matters. **Gemini reads the clinic's own service list back.** Gemini returns Klinik Dr. Rose Jalan Kebun as a place card, 4.8 stars, medical clinic, open until 11:00 PM, then summarises what the clinic actually does: pregnancy scans in 2D, 3D, 4D and 5D with prenatal checks, treatment for fever, cough, colds and rashes, child vaccination, and daily hours that run late into the night. #### What the three screenshots actually prove The Gemini answer is the most useful signal in the set, because the summary it produced is the service structure the web revamp created, handed back almost line for line. Women's health, children's health, pregnancy scanning, long opening hours. That is not a coincidence of phrasing. The rebuild existed to make the clinic's real range legible, first to patients, then to Google. The assistants are reading the same thing, from the same two places: a site that states plainly what the clinic treats, and a Google Business Profile carrying honest hours, a 4.8 rating and 648 reviews. Nothing on this project was scoped or written for ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. There was no AI-specific content and no brief that mentioned them. The clinic shows up in AI answers because the underlying facts are structured, consistent and verifiable across the site and the profile, which is what these systems are grounding on. That is the honest version of GEO for a local business: it is not a separate channel bolted on afterwards, it is what correct SEO work now buys you on a second surface. It also changes what a clinic is competing for. Google's local pack shows a patient three options and lets them choose. An assistant asked "which clinic should I go to" often returns one recommendation, or a short list with reasons attached. Being inside that list is a different competitive position than ranking on page one. Klinik Dr Rose is inside it on Claude and Gemini directly, and on ChatGPT by patient report. --- ## Caregiving.my: Building Malaysia's Caregiving Reference Hub URL: https://drfaizazizan.com/case-studies/caregiving-my/ Category: Search Excellence (SEO/GEO) Published: 2026-07-18 **Founder project, Faiz Azizan, Founder of Caregiving.my.** Caregiving.my started from **zero**, no existing traffic, no backlinks, no brand recognition, and no dataset of caregiving providers to draw from. Malaysia's caregiving space (elderly care, special-needs care, home nursing, ambulance services, therapy providers) is fragmented across dozens of independent operators, individual caregivers, small agencies, clinics, and NGOs, with no single reference point families could search against. That fragmentation was the actual problem to solve, not just "get traffic." A caregiving directory only becomes useful once it exists at the intersection of three variables families actually search by: - **Who** the care is for (elderly / special-needs kids / general) - **Where** the care is needed (state, city/district) - **What** service is needed (private nurse, physiotherapy, private ambulance, counselling, and 15+ other service types) Multiply those three out and you get hundreds of real search combinations ("caregiver Johor Bahru elderly," "private ambulance Penang," "speech therapy special needs Selangor"), each a query someone in Malaysia would type, and each one Caregiving.my had zero presence for at launch. ### The Strategy #### 1. Programmatic SEO, the care-type × location × service matrix Rather than writing individual pages by hand, the directory was architected around a combinatorial taxonomy: - **Care-for segment:** General / Elderly (Warga Emas) / Special-Needs Kids - **Location:** all 15 Malaysian states down to city/district level - **Service category:** 20 service types spanning medical (private nurse, dialysis support, community clinic, health screening), logistics (private ambulance, medical ride & escort, appointment companion), therapy (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, paediatric physiotherapy, traditional massage), and support (counselling & mental health, financial support, senior care home, early intervention, special education, individual and agency caregivers) Each combination generates its own filterable, indexable page, the same pSEO logic used to scale service-area sites, applied here to a three-axis caregiving taxonomy instead of the usual two. #### 2. Making Caregiving.my the name Google associates with the category Beyond ranking individual pages, the goal was for Caregiving.my itself to become the name Google (and AI search surfaces) associates with "caregiving directory Malaysia": - Structured data tying each listing to the correct service and location - Consistent internal linking between related care-for, location, and service pages so the taxonomy reads as one connected knowledge graph rather than isolated landing pages - Clear category and disclaimer pages establishing the site's positioning as a **reference hub**, not a service provider itself, an important trust/E-E-A-T signal given the sensitive nature of caregiving decisions #### 3. Directory architecture, built for both users and search The live filter system (Care For → State → City → Service) mirrors the exact pSEO page structure underneath it, so the same taxonomy that scales for search also drives real product UX, filtering, an emergency-profile shortcut, and a marketplace/courses layer beyond the core directory. That taxonomy now backs **4,000+ service-provider listings**, giving the matrix real data density instead of empty combinatorial pages. The directory explicitly positions itself as **CGMY HUB, the caregiving-ecosystem reference hub for Malaysia** rather than a lead-gen middleman, which shaped both the disclaimer language and how the site describes itself. #### 4. Why this combination mattered - pSEO alone, without that structure, produces thin combinatorial pages Google may not trust or index reliably - That structure alone, without the location × service matrix, has no volume of pages to actually rank - Directory UX ties both together, the taxonomy isn't just an SEO scaffold, it's the actual navigation a family in Malaysia uses to find care ### The Results | Metric | At Launch | Current | |---|---|---| | Service provider listings | 0 | 4,000+ | | Indexed pSEO pages (location × service × care-type) | 0 | 300+ | | Service categories covered | 0 | 20 | | States with dedicated location pages | 0 | 15 | | Organic keywords ranking (any position) | 0 | 150+ | | Monthly organic sessions | 0 | 2,400+ | | Top 3 SERP rankings (long-tail location × service queries) | 0 | 40+ | Caregiving.my went from zero to a fully structured directory spanning **all 15 states**, **20 service categories**, and **4,000+ provider listings**, giving a previously fragmented category its first single, searchable reference point, built on a taxonomy that scales for both search engines and the families using it. --- ## How I Rank International SEO With 20+ Chrome Extensions URL: https://drfaizazizan.com/case-studies/chrome-extensions-geo/ Category: Search Excellence (SEO/GEO) Published: 2026-07-17 **Founder project, Faiz Azizan.** I rank international SEO by treating every Chrome extension as one entity that solves one problem, then writing the listing so Google and AI assistants can match it to that problem. Across the 20 extensions I measured, all 20 rank #1 on Google for their own name, Gemini cited 19 for an unbranded problem query, Claude cited 17 and ChatGPT cited 9. ### Why Are Chrome Extensions an International SEO Test? These products have no local market. Every listing is written in English for SEOs, marketers and developers anywhere, so there are no city pages, no Google Maps and no proximity signals to lean on. A listing has to be found on entity, wording and demand alone. That is international SEO in its plainest form, and it is the same position a multi-market corporate site is in when it launches a new product line. Between June and July 2026 I published extensions to the Chrome Web Store covering SEO auditing, CRO analysis, GTM/GA4 tracking validation, AI-agent readiness and developer-productivity tools. The full catalogue now stands at 31. This benchmark measures an initial cohort of 20, and every number below is a count of those 20, not of everything shipped. The benchmark tracks visibility on two discovery surfaces: 1. **Traditional search (Google SERP):** does the extension's Chrome Web Store listing rank for its own product name? 2. **Generative Engine Optimization (GEO):** does the extension get surfaced when someone asks an AI assistant (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to solve the exact problem the extension was built for? The gap between these two numbers is the point. Ranking #1 on Google for your own brand name is close to guaranteed. Being recommended by a large language model for a generic, unbranded query is not, and that is the harder, more valuable signal. ### How Did I Measure the Rankings? **Google SERP test:** for each extension I searched the exact product name plus "chrome extension" (for example `"GTM GA4 DataLayer Auditor" chrome extension`) and recorded whether the Chrome Web Store listing appeared, and at what position. **ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude test:** for each extension I asked the assistant a natural, unbranded query describing the *problem* the extension solves, never mentioning its name, and recorded whether the assistant recommended it. Example: for "GTM GA4 DataLayer Auditor," the query was *"Recommend a Chrome extension to audit GTM and GA4 dataLayer events on a website."* Any direct Chrome Web Store link an assistant returned was checked against the actual listing ID to rule out hallucination before it was counted as a genuine citation. ### What Were the Results Across 20 Extensions? | # | Extension | Google SERP | ChatGPT | Gemini | Claude | |---|---|:---:|:---:|:---:|:---:| | 1 | CRO & UI Sniper | #1 | Not cited | Cited | Cited | | 2 | Image Inspector SEO | #1 | Cited | Cited | Cited | | 3 | GTM GA4 DataLayer Auditor | #1 | Not cited | Cited | Cited | | 4 | AI Agent Readiness Checker | #1 | Cited, #1 recommendation | Cited | Cited | | 5 | Web Security Headers Checker | #1 | X | X | X | | 6 | Product Page Schema (GMC) Listing Tools | #1 | Cited | Cited | Cited | | 7 | Web Checker: SEO & Speed | #1 | Not cited | Cited | Cited | | 8 | AI Bot Access Checker | #1 | Not cited | Cited | Cited | | 9 | CRO Lens – Product Page Auditor | #1 | Not cited | Cited (direct link, verified) | Cited (direct link, verified) | | 10 | Backlink Checker | #1 | Not cited | Cited | Not cited | | 11 | Semantic SEO Auditor | #1 | Cited | Cited | Cited | | 12 | Screenshot & Blur | #1 | Not cited | Cited | Cited | | 13 | PyAutoGUI Script Recorder | #1 | Cited | Cited | Cited | | 14 | SEO Snap & Convert | #1 | Cited | Cited | Cited | | 15 | Schema Visualizer | #1 | Cited | Cited | Cited | | 16 | PDF Scholar Helper | #1 | Not cited | Cited | Cited | | 17 | Heading Visualizer | #1 | Not cited | Cited | Cited | | 18 | N-Gram SEO Analyzer | #1 | Cited, #1 recommendation | Cited | Not cited | | 19 | Website Tracking Scanner | #1 | Cited | Cited | Cited (direct link, verified) | | 20 | Wayback Checker | #1 | Not cited | Cited | Cited | ### What Did the Results Show? **1. Brand-name Google ranking is automatic, and not a meaningful competitive signal.** All 20 of 20 extensions rank #1 on Google for a search of their own exact product name. Almost nobody else uses the same unique name, so this should not be read as SEO strength. **2. Citation for an unbranded problem is the harder bar, and it varies a lot by engine.** Across the 20 extensions: - **Gemini** cited 19 of 20 (95%). - **Claude** cited 17 of 20 (85%). - **ChatGPT** cited 9 of 20 (45%), including two #1 recommendations (AI Agent Readiness Checker and N-Gram SEO Analyzer). Web Security Headers Checker is the only extension none of the three surfaced. That category is saturated with long-established developer extensions. **3. Specific, new categories win; saturated categories lose.** The tools cited by all three engines sit in narrow niches with little legacy competition: image SEO, Merchant Center schema, semantic SEO, PyAutoGUI export, schema visualization. Where established tools dominate (security headers, backlinks, GTM debugging), ChatGPT in particular defaulted to the incumbents. **4. Verification matters more than the headline number.** Direct Chrome Web Store links returned by the assistants were checked against the actual listing IDs. CRO Lens (Gemini and Claude) and Website Tracking Scanner (Claude) matched exactly and were counted as verified citations. Assistants do sometimes produce plausible-looking but broken or fabricated links, and quoting one in a client report without checking would undermine the whole study. ### What Is the Method Behind the Rankings? I did not run controlled experiments on each lever, so read these as the pattern across 20 listings, not as proven causes. Four habits repeat in the extensions that were cited. 1. **One extension, one problem.** Each product does a single job, such as visualizing heading hierarchy or checking whether a site blocks AI scrapers. A narrow job gives an assistant an unambiguous match for a narrow question. 2. **Name the problem the way the user types it.** Listing text carries the exact entity names people search for: GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PyAutoGUI, Google Merchant Center, Wayback Machine. Gemini and Claude parsed those tokens straight from the description. 3. **Pair two intents when the gap exists.** "SEO + Speed", "screenshot + sensitive data blur" and "Wayback Machine + archive.today" each separated a listing from single-purpose competitors. 4. **Enter categories before incumbents exist.** AI Agent Readiness Checker took a #1 ChatGPT recommendation in an emerging category with no legacy tool. Security headers, a mature category, got nothing. ### How Did Each Extension Perform? Each extension was tested with one unbranded problem query. The four notes under each heading cover what the tool does, the query used, how each engine responded, and the likely retrieval mechanic behind the result. #### 1. CRO & UI Sniper - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Real-time visual element inspection, DOM layout shifting diagnostics, and conversion friction auditing. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"What Chrome extension can I use to audit UI conversion friction and visual elements on a webpage?"* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Not cited on ChatGPT; cited on Gemini and Claude. - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** ChatGPT prioritized entrenched CRO platforms. Gemini and Claude indexed recent technical documentation matching conversion UI heuristics. #### 2. Image Inspector SEO - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Instant inspection of image dimensions, display ratios, WebP/AVIF format validation, EXIF data, and alt text diagnostics. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Recommend a Chrome extension to inspect image SEO, missing alt tags, file sizes, and image formats on a page."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Cited across all three (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude). - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Focused utility scope. Explicit semantic alignment around image SEO auditing allowed all frontier models to map the unbranded prompt directly to the tool. #### 3. GTM GA4 DataLayer Auditor - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Real-time event listener and debugging panel for Google Tag Manager `dataLayer.push` calls and GA4 ecommerce schema validation. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Recommend a Chrome extension to audit GTM and GA4 dataLayer events on a website."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Not cited on ChatGPT; cited on Gemini and Claude. - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** ChatGPT defaulted to legacy Google Tag Assistant and Adswerve. Gemini and Claude surfaced it by matching the modern dataLayer listener requirement. #### 4. AI Agent Readiness Checker - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Evaluates website DOM structure, semantic HTML, and `robots.txt`/`llms.txt` directives for autonomous AI scrapers. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Is there a Chrome extension to check if a website is optimized for AI web agents and LLM crawlers?"* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Ranked #1 recommendation on ChatGPT; cited on Gemini and Claude. - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** First-mover advantage in an emerging, high-intent category with zero legacy tool competition. #### 5. Web Security Headers Checker - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** In-tab inspection of HTTP response security headers (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options, Permissions-Policy). - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Chrome extension to inspect HTTP security headers and CSP rules on a website."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Not cited across ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude. - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Saturated utility sector. Entrenched historical developer extensions dominate the models' internal retrieval priors. #### 6. Product Page Schema (GMC) Listing Tools - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Validating structured JSON-LD `Product` and `Offer` schema against Google Merchant Center feed requirements. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Best Chrome extension to validate ecommerce product schema for Google Merchant Center."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Cited across all three (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude). - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Exact topical intersection. Pairing "Google Merchant Center" with "Product Schema" bypassed generic validators and secured direct citations. #### 7. Web Checker: SEO & Speed - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** In-tab Core Web Vitals diagnostic and essential on-page SEO meta tag auditing. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Chrome extension to quickly check on-page SEO factors and Core Web Vitals speed."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Not cited on ChatGPT; cited on Gemini and Claude. - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** The hybrid intent ("SEO + Speed") enabled Gemini and Claude to surface it over single-focus speed testers. #### 8. AI Bot Access Checker - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Rapid inspection of `robots.txt`, headers, and meta directives controlling AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot). - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Chrome extension to check if a site blocks AI scrapers like GPTBot or ClaudeBot."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Not cited on ChatGPT; cited on Gemini and Claude. - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Direct entity token matching. Gemini and Claude parsed the bot crawler names directly from the extension's listing description. #### 9. CRO Lens – Product Page Auditor - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Heuristic conversion rate auditing designed specifically for single-product ecommerce PDP layouts. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Chrome extension to audit ecommerce product landing pages for CRO improvements."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Not cited on ChatGPT; cited on Gemini and Claude (both verified via direct listing link). - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Dedicated PDP heuristic matching. Grounded web search in Gemini and Claude verified the direct Chrome Web Store listing ID. #### 10. Backlink Checker - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** On-page outbound/inbound link auditing, follow/nofollow attribute inspection, and broken anchor verification. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Lightweight Chrome extension to check on-page links and follow attributes."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Cited on Gemini; not cited on ChatGPT or Claude. - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Saturated by enterprise SEO suites (Ahrefs, Semrush). Gemini surfaced it under a lightweight, in-browser inspection context. #### 11. Semantic SEO Auditor - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Evaluates entity salience, topical coverage, and semantic document outlines against modern search engine criteria. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"What Chrome extension helps audit semantic SEO, entities, and topical coverage on a page?"* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Cited across all three (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude). - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Distinct semantic differentiation. While legacy tools inspect meta tags, this tool answered queries specifically requesting "entities" and "semantic SEO." #### 12. Screenshot & Blur - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Screen capture with built-in PII redaction and element blurring for client audits. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Chrome extension to take webpage screenshots and blur sensitive data before sharing."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Not cited on ChatGPT; cited on Gemini and Claude. - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Dual-utility positioning ("screenshot" + "sensitive data blur") allowed Gemini and Claude to bypass generic screenshot utilities. #### 13. PyAutoGUI Script Recorder - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Records browser clicks and DOM interactions, converting them into executable Python PyAutoGUI code. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Chrome extension that records browser actions and exports to a PyAutoGUI Python script."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Cited across all three (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude). - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** High code-export specificity. Virtually no legacy tools target PyAutoGUI syntax export. #### 14. SEO Snap & Convert - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Captures visual SERP snippets, extracts on-page meta tags, and converts them into client audit assets. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Tool to capture SERP visual elements and convert SEO data into quick audit reports."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Cited across all three (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude). - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Bridges visual capture and reporting utility, matching unbranded audit workflow prompts. #### 15. Schema Visualizer - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Transforms complex nested JSON-LD and Microdata structures into interactive visual tree diagrams. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Chrome extension to visualize nested JSON-LD schema into a readable interactive tree."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Cited across all three (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude). - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Solves the visualization problem specifically, distinguishing it from standard schema syntax validators. #### 16. PDF Scholar Helper - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** In-browser academic citation extraction, DOI lookup, and BibTeX conversion from web-hosted scholarly PDFs. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Chrome extension to extract citations and metadata from academic PDF papers."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Not cited on ChatGPT; cited on Gemini and Claude. - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Academic grounding in Gemini and Claude connected research prompts directly to the extension's manifest terms. #### 17. Heading Visualizer - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Visualizes DOM heading hierarchy (H1–H6), identifying skipped levels and broken outline structures. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Chrome extension to visualize heading tag hierarchy and check for skipped heading levels."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Not cited on ChatGPT; cited on Gemini and Claude. - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Strong functional alignment. Gemini and Claude directly matched the skipped-level diagnostic utility with the extension's core function. #### 18. N-Gram SEO Analyzer - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Unigram, bigram, and trigram text extraction to analyze keyword frequency, phrase patterns, and term density. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Chrome extension to run n-gram frequency analysis on webpage copy for SEO."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Ranked #1 recommendation on ChatGPT; cited on Gemini; not cited on Claude. - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** High semantic specificity. N-gram analysis is a distinct technical SEO methodology with few direct browser extension competitors. #### 19. Website Tracking Scanner - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Identifies all active marketing pixels, tracking scripts, analytics libraries, and tag managers on any domain. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Chrome extension to scan a website and see all tracking pixels, tags, and analytics installed."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Cited across all three (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude; verified via direct listing link). - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** High relevance to privacy, tracking, and tag audit use cases across all model indexes. #### 20. Wayback Checker - **Core Function & Problem Solved:** Instant in-browser verification of whether the active URL is archived on the Wayback Machine (Internet Archive) or archive.today, with historical snapshot access. - **Unbranded Test Query:** *"Chrome extension to check if the current page is archived on the Wayback Machine or archive.today."* - **Engine Performance (ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude):** Not cited on ChatGPT; cited on Gemini and Claude. - **GEO Retrieval Mechanic:** Solves a concrete archive-lookup workflow. Gemini and Claude surfaced the extension by matching the dual-archive check intent ("Wayback Machine + archive.today"). ### What Does This Mean for International SEO? - **Entity and wording travel across borders; location signals do not.** For a product with no local market, the listing text, the entity names in it and the category you enter decide whether you are found. - **Judge AI visibility per engine.** Gemini and Claude surfaced new listings far more readily than ChatGPT, which leaned on entrenched tools. One blended number hides that. - **Track it over time.** This is a baseline on newly launched products and is designed to be re-run. Repeating the same queries every 60 to 90 days, as reviews, backlinks and usage accumulate, turns a snapshot into a trend line, and the trend is the real measure of whether the work pays off. Planning the same for a multi-market site? There was no content system at the start: no keyword strategy, no on-page structure, and no publishing rhythm, just the intent to build something useful for Malaysian retail investors. **The starting point: near-zero organic visitors, no indexed content of note, and no domain authority to speak of.** ### The Strategy #### 1. Content Content was built around evergreen investing and stock-market education for Malaysian retail investors, beginner-friendly explainers (how to start investing, CDS accounts, brokerage comparisons), stock-analysis pieces, and IPO breakdowns. Publishing followed a consistent cadence rather than ad-hoc posting, so the site kept accumulating indexed pages and topical depth month over month. #### 2. On-page SEO - Keyword-mapped every article before writing, one primary keyword per page, no cannibalisation across similar topics - Optimised title tags, meta descriptions, and header structure (H1–H3) for both search intent and click-through - Built internal linking between related articles (e.g. linking beginner guides to relevant stock-analysis pieces) to spread authority across the site - Improved page speed and mobile usability, since a large share of Malaysian investors browse on mobile - Added Article schema to improve how pages appeared in search results #### 3. Traffic growth | Period | Monthly organic traffic | |--------|--------------------------| | Month 0 (launch) | ~0–50 | | Month 6 | ~2,000 | | Month 12 | ~8,000 | | Month 24 | ~25,000 | | Month 36 (pre-acquisition) | ~40,000+ | Growth was compounding rather than linear, early articles kept ranking higher as domain authority built up, which made each new article rank faster than the last. All of it was built through content and SEO, with no paid-acquisition spend. ### The Result: acquisition by Isaham Group (Mplus Brokerage) The clearest proof of the SEO and content work paying off: Investor.my was **acquired by Isaham Group (Mplus Brokerage)**, validation that the site had built real organic visibility, traffic, and credibility in the Malaysian investing space, enough to be worth folding into a larger financial platform. What made the site attractive for acquisition: - A base of **~40,000+ monthly organic visitors** built entirely through content and SEO, with zero paid acquisition - A content library of investing and stock-market education ranking for competitive Malaysian finance keywords - An engaged, relevant audience of retail investors, exactly the user base a brokerage-linked platform like Isaham/Mplus would want to reach Post-acquisition, the site's traffic and content assets were folded into Isaham Group's broader platform strategy, extending the reach of everything built during the SEO phase. --- # Other Key Pages - [SEO & Digital Marketing Training Malaysia | Dr. Faiz Azizan](https://drfaizazizan.com/training/): 21 HRDF-claimable SEO & digital marketing courses by Dr. Faiz Azizan.
