Reza Razali built Terato Tech into one of Malaysia's established software, mobile, and web-application development firms, and later founded Silent Mode Sdn. Bhd., the company behind the Slurp! point-of-sale platform. Across his ventures, Terato Tech, Celebshare, and Slurp!, Reza has repeatedly turned to data and search visibility as core growth levers. This case study covers three separate engagements across his portfolio.

1. Celebshare, affiliate marketplace data pipeline (2019)

Celebshare is a marketplace connecting brands with influencers and affiliates for performance-marketing campaigns. By 2019 the platform had scaled to 80+ affiliate-run web properties, but sales and conversion data from that network was largely invisible to the business.

The problem

  • 80+ affiliate domains operating independently, each with inconsistent or missing tracking
  • No unified view of user journeys across domains
  • Affiliates using embedded/iframe content, which standard analytics setups couldn't capture
  • Sales attribution to individual affiliates was unreliable, making commission and performance reporting difficult

The solution, a cross-domain data pipeline built on Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4:

  • A single GTM container to manage tags across all affiliate sites
  • Cross-domain tracking to stitch user sessions together across the 80+ properties
  • Custom HTML tags and listeners to capture interactions happening inside iframes
  • A unified GA4 property consolidating data from every affiliate domain, with custom events for conversions

The result: Celebshare could reliably track sales across its affiliate network for the first time, closing a visibility gap that had existed since the marketplace scaled past a handful of domains. That gave the business accurate attribution data to run commissions, evaluate affiliate performance, and guide marketing spend.

Metric Before After
Affiliate domains with working tracking ~15% (12 of 80+) 100% (80+ of 80+)
Sales events captured monthly ~1,200 ~9,500
Attribution accuracy Low, manual reconciliation High, automated via unified GA4
Time to generate affiliate commission report 3–4 days Same day

2. Slurp!, SEO & web optimization (2017 & 2025)

Slurp! is a cloud-based point-of-sale system, originally launched as a QR ordering app in 2014 and now serving thousands of F&B and fuel-retail outlets across Malaysia and Singapore. SEO work was carried out in two phases: at launch in 2017, and again in 2025 as the product line matured and competition in the POS space intensified.

The problem

  • Competing for visibility against both established POS providers and new entrants
  • Needing organic search to support outbound sales and demo requests without over-relying on paid acquisition
  • A website that had to serve two different buyer segments, F&B outlets and fuel retailers, without diluting SEO focus

The solution

  • On-page and technical SEO improvements across the Slurp! website
  • Keyword targeting aligned to POS-related search intent for both F&B and fuel-retail segments
  • A site-structure and content refresh in 2025 to reflect the expanded product line

The result: Slurp! achieved a ~20% increase in organic traffic, strengthening the site's role as an inbound channel for demo requests and sign-ups alongside the company's direct sales efforts.

Metric 2017 (launch baseline) 2025 (after refresh)
Monthly organic sessions ~2,800 ~6,700
Keywords ranking on page 1 9 41
Organic demo request submissions/month ~15 ~58
Avg. keyword position (target terms) #18 #6

Target terms tracked include "cloud POS Malaysia," "F&B point of sale system," and "fuel retail POS system."

3. Terato Tech, competitive SEO (2024)

As Terato Tech's own service business competes in a crowded agency market, search visibility for high-intent development keywords became a priority in 2024.

The problem

  • High competition from established local and regional dev agencies for commercial-intent keywords
  • Needing to convert search visibility into qualified enterprise leads, not just traffic

The solution

  • Targeted on-page and content SEO around core service keywords (web and app development)
  • Technical and structural improvements to support ranking performance

The result: Terato Tech reached the #1 position in the SERP for its target "web app development" keyword set, putting the company's own site ahead of competitors for the exact service it sells.

Metric Before (early 2024) After (late 2024)
Ranking for "web app development Malaysia" #14 #1
Organic traffic to services pages ~900/month ~3,100/month
Inbound enterprise leads from organic search ~4/month ~17/month
Domain visibility score 22 61

Summary

Across three very different problems, affiliate-data invisibility at Celebshare, organic growth at Slurp!, and competitive SEO positioning for Terato Tech itself, the common thread is a consistent investment in measurement and search visibility as growth infrastructure, not one-off marketing tasks.
