I searched petronas vendor registration on 22 October 2026 and counted nine results. Three were PETRONAS pages and six were copies of one approved-vendor document on unrelated sites, among them a baseball statistics host and a Philippine university test server. A vendor who follows the wrong link learns nothing about the real licence.

Why do copies of a vendor document outrank real answers on PETRONAS registration?
The question is common and the official pages are dense, so copies of one document spread across unrelated sites. People add online, portal, list and licence. A plain explainer that links the PETRONAS guidelines and says what a License and a Registration cover earns the click the copies take.
Why do company list searches return jobs and directories?
Job seekers use the same words as buyers, so searches pick up vacancy, career, internship and salary. Directories fill the rest. Keep two pages apart: a capability page for buyers with your licence, categories and projects, and a careers page for candidates.
Should a vendor write about financing for suppliers?
Only to point to the programme. The terms belong to the banks: Islamic lenders under Islamic banks financing vendors such as Bank Muamalat and Bank Islam, and conventional partners under banks in the vendor financing programme such as CIMB and Maybank. Link PETRONAS and the banks, and leave out rates, which age quickly.
What can a vendor website say about tenders?
That tenders run through PETRONAS processes and the operators' own portals, and what you need to be considered: licence, categories, certificates and references. The website does not win tenders. It lets the buyer verify you, so make that verification quick and keep every date current.

The scope across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, who carries each risk, and a delivered project for each stage. State the sector and the sizes you handle. Where your scope overlaps with onshore civil works, point to the page for main contractors.

Constraints on what you can publish
PETRONAS requires a License to supply the upstream sector. A Registration covers supply to PETRONAS Group companies in the downstream sector only. A License also covers downstream.
Each License or Registration rests on Standardised Work and Equipment Categories. You must meet the full scope of a category, and certificates, including CIDB and quality system certificates, must be valid at submission and throughout the validity period.
A License is valid for three years from the first approved category. Minimum paid-up capital is 100,000 ringgit for a License and 10,000 ringgit for a Registration, with positive net worth and an unqualified audit opinion.
The same director or shareholder cannot hold roles in more than one licensed or registered company under the same category, so sister companies cannot be shown as one entity with a combined list.
PETRONAS does not appoint or endorse any third party for licence and registration applications. A page should state the licence held and its categories, and imply no endorsement.
