Klinik Dr Rose is a family clinic in Klang offering women's health, fertility, pregnancy, skin, and general-practice services. Before this engagement, its online presence had fallen behind what a growing clinic needed, and it had fallen behind on three fronts at once.

The Challenge

  • The existing website was outdated and no longer reflected the clinic's actual range of services, or gave patients a clear, modern way to learn about the clinic or get in touch
  • There was no SEO foundation, the site wasn't structured or optimised to be found for the services the clinic offers (women's health, fertility, pregnancy, skin, paediatric care)
  • No Google Ads presence existed, so the clinic had no way to capture patients actively searching for these services right now

Because all three issues were live at the same time, a sequential fix, rebuild the site first, add SEO later, add ads months after that, risked leaving the clinic invisible for longer than necessary. The decision was to rework all three together.

What none of it was scoped for, and what showed up anyway, is the section at the bottom of this page: ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini now name the clinic when patients ask them where to go.

The Strategy

1. Web revamp

  • Rebuilt the website to properly represent Klinik Dr Rose's full service range, women's health, fertility, pregnancy, weight loss, skin, and children's health, with clearer navigation and calls-to-action for booking and enquiries
  • Structured the new site to serve as the foundation both SEO and Google Ads would run on, rather than treating design as a separate, later-stage task

2. SEO

  • Built the on-page structure and content around the clinic's actual service lines, so each core service had a proper page to rank on its own terms
  • Laid the technical and content foundation needed to start building organic visibility for the category, in parallel with the paid channel below

3. Google Ads

  • Set up Google Ads campaigns to capture immediate, high-intent search demand for the clinic's services while the SEO foundation was still building organic momentum
  • Ran ads and SEO in parallel so the clinic wasn't reliant on paid spend alone, and wasn't waiting months for organic results before generating any visibility at all

The Result

Metric Before After
Organic keywords ranking (page 1) ~5 ~40+
Monthly organic traffic ~300 visits ~2,800 visits
Google Ads, monthly leads/enquiries 0 ~85
Google Ads, cost per lead N/A (no ads running) ~RM18
Website conversion rate (visit → enquiry) <1% ~4.5%

With the website rebuilt as a proper foundation, SEO and Google Ads running together meant the clinic wasn't waiting on one channel to carry the whole result, paid search filled the visibility gap immediately while organic rankings built up in parallel. Instead of three disconnected projects spread over a year, Klinik Dr Rose got one coordinated launch: a modern site, an SEO foundation, and a live acquisition channel, all reinforcing each other from day one.

Where it showed up next: ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini

There was never a GEO campaign for this clinic. The scope was a website, an SEO foundation, and Google Ads. What has happened since is that the same foundation started answering a second kind of search, the kind where a patient asks an AI assistant where to go instead of typing a query into Google. All three examples below were captured in September 2026.

A patient walked in and said ChatGPT sent them. The clinic posted it on Threads: a patient came in and said they knew about Klinik Dr Rose because ChatGPT recommended it. This one is patient-reported rather than a screenshot of the assistant itself, which makes it the weakest evidence technically and the strongest commercially. It is a real person through the door, attributed to an AI answer.

Claude names the clinic on an unbranded query. Asked "Suggest saya klinik wanita ibu dan anak di klang", with no brand named in the question, Claude returns a shortlist of Klang clinics and includes Klinik Dr. Rose Jalan Kebun at Bandar Putera, rated 4.8 stars across 648 reviews, described as the more general family-clinic option with 5D scanning available. It sits in the alternatives group rather than the top three, and that is worth stating plainly. Being named at all on a generic local query, when the question never mentions the brand, is the bar that matters.

Gemini reads the clinic's own service list back. Gemini returns Klinik Dr. Rose Jalan Kebun as a place card, 4.8 stars, medical clinic, open until 11:00 PM, then summarises what the clinic actually does: pregnancy scans in 2D, 3D, 4D and 5D with prenatal checks, treatment for fever, cough, colds and rashes, child vaccination, and daily hours that run late into the night.

What the three screenshots actually prove

The Gemini answer is the most useful signal in the set, because the summary it produced is the service structure the web revamp created, handed back almost line for line. Women's health, children's health, pregnancy scanning, long opening hours. That is not a coincidence of phrasing. The rebuild existed to make the clinic's real range legible, first to patients, then to Google. The assistants are reading the same thing, from the same two places: a site that states plainly what the clinic treats, and a Google Business Profile carrying honest hours, a 4.8 rating and 648 reviews.

Nothing on this project was scoped or written for ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. There was no AI-specific content and no brief that mentioned them. The clinic shows up in AI answers because the underlying facts are structured, consistent and verifiable across the site and the profile, which is what these systems are grounding on. That is the honest version of GEO for a local business: it is not a separate channel bolted on afterwards, it is what correct SEO work now buys you on a second surface.

It also changes what a clinic is competing for. Google's local pack shows a patient three options and lets them choose. An assistant asked "which clinic should I go to" often returns one recommendation, or a short list with reasons attached. Being inside that list is a different competitive position than ranking on page one. Klinik Dr Rose is inside it on Claude and Gemini directly, and on ChatGPT by patient report.
